Welcome
to Narrows
Lodge nestled in the Ozark Mountains on the beautiful White River of
north central
Arkansas. Whether you're here to catch a trophy
trout, have a bivouac point for the many other area
attractions, or
just to relax, we are
sure you will enjoy your stay at Narrows Lodge.
Our trout lodge
is named after the popular fishing section of the White
River where the river
splits
and forms a big island. We
are a fully furnished, 2400 sq ft, 2 plus bedroom, 2-1/2
bath,
brick home. We purchased this house August 29, 2008 and opened for
business on the 1st of October. Browse
through the pages below and get a taste of what we have to offer. Feel
free to e-mail or call us us if you have any questions.
If
our amenities lack something you desire please feel free to let us
know. We want you to think of our lodge as your home away from home.
Miscellaneous news:
*** 11/03/09- We are adding a studio apartment to our rental
options. It is near completion (about a week-maybe 2) . It will sleep
2-4 (maybe 5) and will have a full kitchen, balcony overlooking the
river, grill, etc. I will be updating website as soon as I can with all
the nitty gritty but for now, feel free to inquire.
***10/31/09 - 8 lb brown caught in
front of lodge (per local guide, I didn't see the catch).
***8/20/09- We have a Facebook group at this link Facebook Page
. There are a few pics there and comments from guests. Feel free to
join the group if you
are a Facebook user.
*** April 2009- We now have a new 20 ft J&S Trout boat for rent.
$85/day or $50/ half day.
***3/30/09-(not sure where to put this)- Frank Smethurst and
the Trout Unlimited film crew released their regular program "On the
Rise" filmed on the White and Norfork rivers this month (filmed this
past Winter). It aired on the Outdoor Channel. It along with several
other "On the Rise" releases are recorded on the DVR in the lodge for
our guests viewing pleasure. In this release on the White River, you
can see the big rock and the next door neighbors' dock in the
background (in the beginning of the film). The 1st 3-4 NICE
browns that were caught were just 100 yards downstream from here!!!
Then in the latter part of the film Frank lands a brown that is well
over 30 inches long (he lost 3 big uns prior to landing this one) you
can see the 3 story house across the river from us in the background.
Proof there are some big boys right here, folks. Ya'll come get
em !!!
